This is a response to the article “Sports Rally Around Green Projects” by: Ken Belson which first appeared in the New York Times. This article is about how sports teams are starting to go green by revamping their stadiums to being green. The Arizona Diamondbacks have recently put a solar panel canopy over their chase field. Even hockey teams are jumping on the green savings. For example the NJ Devils have installed dehumidifiers to keep the ice on the rink up to code.

I personally like sports teams and stadiums to start going green. They use so much energy, if solar panels and recycling bins offset this a little bit it sounds good to me.  Sports is huge in every country with die-hard fans that would follow their team to the ends of the earth and back. so if that team promotes the green movement then maybe the fans will follow. This is another way going green can snowball into something huge.
